April 1, Wednesday – Single Parent Families’ First Wednesday Speaker Series: Join other single parents on Wednesday, April 1 in Christian Family Center, Room 204 at 7:00 p.m. as we explore this month’s focus: "Dating with Children." Guest facilitator will be Deb Hardman, parishioner and psychotherapist. Programming is available for children of all ages. Questions? April 12, Sunday – Easter Sunday Breakfast: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Join others and help prepare and/or serve breakfast in the Parish Center dining hall. Extended hours for Easter are 6:00-10:45 a.m. Watch for future church emails to sign up for part or all of the time.

April 12, Easter Sunday – "Singles, Singles" Christian Formation Class will not meet.

April 19, Sunday – "Singles, Singles" Christian Formation Class: Don't miss this opportunity to join other singles and form new friendships as we meet each week to discuss the Sunday scripture readings and how the Bible and our faith affect our lives daily. The class meets from 10:15-11:00 a.m. in the Christian Family Center, Room 205. Questions? Contact Marsha Holmes at 477-9058.

April 19, Sunday – Luncheon Series: Financial Planning Issues for Singles: Our guest speaker will be Ronald Allen, founding director of the Institute for Financial Studies at Florida Community College and co-founder of Bull & Bear Capital Advisors, Inc. Mr. Allen is also a frequent guest on NPR and PBS programs including “Jacksonville Exchange” and “First Coast Forum.” Lunch is $6. Childcare provided with reservations only. April 25, Saturday – Pontoon Trip: Ready for a Relaxing Intracoastal Ride? Come join us for a pontoon boat ride. We will depart from Atlantic Water Sports, 2327 Beach Blvd. at 9:00 a.m. Cost is $43.00 per person. Call Todd at Atlantic Water Sports (270-0200) to reserve your spot under 'Solo Flight' . This is a 4 hour excursion. Minimum 8 adults per boat for the outing. Two boats possible if needed. R.S.V.P. no later than April 20. Please bring your own lunch. Questions? April 25, Saturday – Single Parent Families’ Beaches Sandcastle Contest: Get a little sand in your shoes! Bring the kids and join others at the Jacksonville Beach Sandcastle Contest. This event starts early in the morning – watch for Christ Church e-mails or visit http://www.jacksonvillebeach.org/ for the exact time, yet to be announced. September 2009 - Divorce Recovery Class: Recovering from divorce is not an easy task. More often than not we need help to heal and put life back together again. Solo Flight's next divorce recovery program, "Journey to Wholeness," begins September 17.
