About Solo Flight
Solo Flight itself is a national, inter-denominational ministry, begun in 1992 by Dr. Kay Collier McLaughlin, Communications Director for the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, KY. In her book Single in the Church: New Ways to Minister to 52% of God's People, she observed that, while typical church activities are geared to couples and families, "It is time for a theology of humanity that includes seasons of singleness as a normal part of the life span."
