Solo Flight Singles Ministry Luncheon Series
Have you ever looked through all of those intriguing travel brochures and wanted to take a trip to someplace exotic, almost picked up the phone to book the flight, and then didn’t, because you had nobody to travel with and were afraid to go alone? Or been on a business trip and wanted to try that fabulous new restaurant you heard about, but settled for room service because you felt uncomfortable at a table by yourself? Well, help is at hand!
On November 16 in the new Parish Center, following the 11:15 a.m. Eucharist, the Solo Flight Luncheon Series continues with (Christ Church member) Lyn McCall, who will provide lots of ideas about, literally, solo flight! Speaking about “Hot Travel Trends for 2009,” Lyn’s presentation promises to be just what the single traveler needs to inspire some get up and go! From trivia questions with fun prizes, to perhaps a guest speaker surprise, Lyn will use her more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry to inspire and encourage us to take that vacation we dream about! She specializes in cruises, tours, adventure travel, spa and sports vacations, and group travel with Valerie Wilson Travel in Ponte Vedra, and has traveled to East Africa, Polynesia, and other exciting destinations herself.
Come and get motivated to enjoy traveling; whether alone or with others, there’s a trip that’s just right for you!

"Christmas Belles" with Solo Flight
Plan on joining Solo Flight on Friday December 5th for a wonderful evening of fun at the production of Christmas Belles at Players By the Sea! In Christmas Belles, a church Christmas pageant spins wildly out of control as three squabbling sisters try to reign in the mayhem. Amidst an ailing Santa, a vengeful sheep, and a reluctant Elvis impersonator, a family secret emerges that just might derail the entire production. And on top of everything else, the pageant will be shown live on cable access television for the first time ever.
